Salvini Cichlid

I'm planning to set up a 55g with 4 salvini to try to pair them up. I did some research and some people says they are little devils. Is a 55g enough for 4 of them? I have a 90g with 3 JD (4"-6") and a pleco (7").
Thanks

They can be pretty nasty. I was going to do the same thing and start with some juveniles but the supplier messed up and sent me 2 large adult females instead of the 6 juvis i ordered. They basically hid or fought non stop so i went a different direction. Just make sure you get juvis so you dont have problems right off the bat. (Shouldnt have problems right off the bat..)

In my experience they grow pretty quick. I originally had a male that was just about keeping up with my oscars growth rate.

Fastest growing fish I have kept outside of dovii and umbees. They are truly nasty and a 55 will work for a young pair but it's a time bomb. Once he hits 7" all bets are off he may kill her just for fun? Mine did twice. Awesome parents if you had some larger cichlids like a JD or even a convict pair you may be able to curb his aggression some. Maybe some young amphilophus species to help spread agression?

So do you think will be better in the 90g?

Bigger is always better, but in my experience I had mine in a 155 and they were still terrors. Definitely ambush predators they were civil with much larger fish but evil to anything in their size range.
