RO question

Swapping my 5 and .6 micron cartridges for an activated carbon stage and a carbon block cartridge to take out chloramine. Am I correct in assuming that it doesn't matter which order they're in inside the unit?

Thanks.

I can't remember where I read it but it was suggested to do it that way

I think they said prefiltering made the charcoal last longer

Do you still have a sediment filter in place? You want to keep one upstream of the membrane or you can risk damaging the membrane with particulates.

Dwarf cichlids for my part

Mostly Apistogrammas, Corydoras if I want to spoil them.

thanks for the reply sam.
saw an RO unit on CL out here. was just curious as to its uses.
the water here in san jose is harder than in northern va. even w/ driftwood, my pH stays at 8.2 or above. if any water evaporates outta the tank and u don't refill for a couple days, u already have the white stuff on the glass. it's crazy! :/
