I have had this sole remaining Callochromis pleurospilus for a few years in my Tang community tank. He went missing the other day and I found him dead, wedged in one of the calvus spawning shells.
I suppose they go in (maybe chasing a piece of food), get wedged and can't back out. Hasn't happened often, but I have had 2 or 3 go this way. Poor guy (or gal, always assumed he was a bachelor).
Just wondering why now after all this time living around these shells? Oh well... RIP
