For those of you that use/have Wardley Advance Nutrition Tropical Flakes Fish Food please see the FDA announcement:
http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/ucm298077.htm?source=govdelivery
Note: It seems that some lots of (Wardley) tropical fish flakes are contaminated by the human pathogen Salmonella spp.
Salmonella are not known to cause disease in tropical fish although the fish can act as reservoirs for Salmonella for several weeks. Salmonella can survive in tank water and sediments for considerable periods of time.
Most people infected with Salmonella will develop diarrhea, fever, vomiting, and intestinal cramps 12 to 72 hour after infection.
