Congrats! Does that mean you no longer want to get rid of them?

Well..I wanted to have them in a dedicated space..but I had to downsize..but since they spawned in a community tank I guess I'll leave them there..

Do you have a tumbler? You probably want to let her hold a week to 10 days minimum.

Are these guys different from the astatotilapia nubila?

Similar appearance, but different genus. Here is the P. macrocephala pic from Dave's Fish:

Some believe that A. nubila is one of the root species for all Lake Vic "Haps"... They're all really closely related and evolved in the last ~15,000 years (the Lake was dry prior to that)!

I'm hoping that Anton is going to bring some signed copies of the book on Victorian Haps he wrote with Greg Steeves: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/cichlids_of_africa.php

It's really a must for anyone who keeps these fish (or is just interested in them)!

Hopefully you can keep them, they are happy in the environment that you have provided...

Thanks Tracey! Yeah..I'm keeping them in there..looks like they are content.. Would like to move them to a dedicated tank if I have the space..
