Polystyrene insulation

Anyone know if this will leach toxins if submerged long term? Specifically the product is Foamular 250 extruded polystyrene (XPS).

I don't think so, but am not entirely sure. Seems like this or the blue stuff (Dow?) is what is commonly used in tank background build threads on other sites.

i have made a few different back ground with the "blue" foam and have used the pond spray foam on one of my dads backgrounds.
