Pics of my Oscars

At the joint GWAPA/ACLC meeting at That Fish Place in Lancaster, PA, back on October 2011, I bought 6 Oscars from TFP. They were maybe 2" at the time. We named them Albus, Severus, Tom, Harry, Hermione, and Ron. Sure enough, Albus died first, then Severus, and finally Tom, leaving these three. We're not sure what Harry is going to do when Hermione and Ron decide to get together.

Since we moved all our tanks last weekend, everyone has settled in just fine, and I was sitting and admiring Harry, Ron, and Hermione in their new 90g tank, and decided to snap a few pics. Enjoy!

Oh, and Cameron, tell me Oscars aren't beautiful now! ;)

great pics! What are you shooting with?

And here I thought that oscars were supposed to be kept as singles...

Those pics were shot with a Canon T2i and the 100mm f/2.8L macro lens.

So far at least, these three Oscars are getting along, but we'll see. Two of them have some slight damage that I suspect is from each other.

And Jon, yeah, they're only about 6" TL now, but I know they'll probably double, at which point the 90g will be too small. But Amy really loves these fish, so that will be my excuse to get a 180g. :D
