Photo Workshop - Nov. 16

I am pleased to announce that I will be hosting a CCA Photo Workshop on Saturday, November 16, at 1pm.

Features:

- Hands on photo shoot time! Take pics, share techniques, critique and learn together. My show tanks have a variety of fish and lighting/aquascape configurations that will let you work on different techniques and setups.

- Software tutorial - I run Photoshop CS5 and can provide an overview and then let you play around with it.

- Experiment with gear - If you don't have a DSLR and want to see what it's like to shoot one, this is a great opportunity. If you're not using an off camera flash, come see what it can do for your photos.

- Other resources - I have a bunch of DSLR and flash photography books that you're welcome to browse.

- Food and fun with friends - I'll provide snacks; if you want to bring beverages and additional snacks to enjoy and share, feel free!



Logistics:

- I live in Reston, VA right off the Wiehle Avenue exit from the Dulles Toll Road. It's easy to get here!

- Bring your camera and gear. Both DSLR and Point And Shoot participants are welcome.

- Participation limited to the first 12 people to sign up, so that everyone can get time with Photoshop etc.

- No cost to participate.

I will try and make it. If I can make it, I will bring camera,flash and lenses so if you don't have a DSLR and want to try one out I can share.

I would love to do this. I have been looking for a new camera for a while now and have been doing some research as well.. so some hands on / lessons from some one more experienced would be awesome.

We have done it a time or two in the past and they are always great for the club.
I expect to see some cool pictures in the POTM contest next month.

Walked down the stairs the other day, and the morning sun was shining through the tropheus tank. I thought their shadows on the wall were cool.
