The bottom of the aqueon tanks they used before moving to tetra weren't tempered so you could drill the bottom.

Is aqueon really better than tetra as far as the tanks are concerned?

You get what you pay for.... Yeah it's still a buck per gallon but I noticed the difference. Most importantly, Aqueon has always stood by its products and their customer service is excellent. However, I've never call Tetra for any reason other than I don't own a lot of products made by them.

The Petco in Annandale has both aqueon and tetra as part of the sale, if you look around you can find the aqueon.

Picture shows two of the ten gallon side by side, the aqueon is the taller

Neither look like they will hold water to me.

Unless of course you're the innovative DIY kind of aquarist and you decide to flip them upside down.
