Hey all. Scott here....just wanted to introduce myself and tell you all a little about myself. I'm 50 and have 2 grown daughters, 2 grandchildren(1 of each) and 8 tanks of cichlids(Africans). I had tropical fish as a teenager and my last remembered tank was 1 medium size Jack Dempsey.Fast forward to.... About 4 years ago my grandson won 2 goldfish at a carnival......after that I went up to a glass bowl for them, then to a 5.5, then a 10 gal., then the goldfish were put in a 29, I changed up and moved the goldies back to the 10 and got tropicals for the 29..... after keeping the tropicals for a short time I wanted to start a tank for African Cichlids...got a new 20 L and stand ,put the tetras and such in the 20 and got 3 Africans for the 29(Kenyi,Socolofi and Auratus) 2 of the 3 are still living and thus the MTS snowballing effect started. Now I have up and running a 125, a 56, a 46bow, (4) 55's, a 33L growout and a 5.5 with 50 or so Moorii fry from 2 females. If any one is close and wants some blue dolphin babies ..I have em(free).I guess that's enuff of an intro.:D

Welcome to the forum. Your story sound similar to many on the site. I went from inheriting my brother's 75G when he moved over seas about 2 years ago to over 400 gallons and plans for more.

Welcome to the Forum. If you haven't been to it yet, House of Tropicals in Glen Burnie is a pretty good store. There is an auction this weekend in Jersey, I plan to do lots of shopping there. ;)

Just fish in DE is one of the worst priced and quality fish stores i've seen. Granted they have cool acrylic tank displays, but nobody is buying a 3" Bumblebee Mbuna for $30.

I have been to Exotic Aquatics too and just cannot pay that much for some of the fish they have.

I pretty much rely on group buys, member trades, auctions, and online stores for all my fish.
