Here's the progress of the 45 tall tank that Tony helped me start up.
I built the stand 20 years ago for a 30 long. I sanded it down and repainted it with a gloss black latex enamel. I still had the hood for it, just needed a new starter.
I had to do plenty of cleaning to get all the powerheads cleaned up. My original Whisper 3's impeller was toast. I bought a new Whisper 60, but it rattled so much I took it off and ordered a Aquaclear 70.
And that's where it's at right now. Waiting on the tannins to go away so the water doesn't look so brown.
