New Pics of the Blues

They were swarming the front of the tank when I took these, overall they are very well socialized fish! Not great shots, but decent enough to see what pretty fish these guys are turning into.

This one is probably a boy - some sparring going on in the tank as you can tell from that fin.

This is probably my favorite shot

Thanks! I'm just waiting for all the horseplay to settle down and for them to get down to the business of chosing a mate - hopefully one of the regulars I have in with them!

LOL - there is actually a prettier one in the tank, I just didn't manage to get a pic. They are hard to photograph, they are like puppies - on the move all the time. I really am going to have to invest in the overhead flash to get them at thier best.

They have the same range as a regular Jack Dempsey - I think average for a female is 6-8" and a male 9-11"

Those are really nice looking. I'll see how I do with the regular JD's and then maybe I'll try the electric blue.

Do you want another Jack? I've got a nice little girl I was hoping to breed with the blues - but she got too big. I took this pic today of her - she has breeding colors on! Right now, she is in the same tank as my Blue Gene that Danger Chicken gave me. I was going to let them practice breeding.
