New Lfs - Scales - Has Nice Fish

Visited Scales yesterday with many other members after the meeting. My hats off to the management at Scales. With only about 25% of the tanks filled with fish, the stock is the best I've seen anywhere. Especially the Africans.

Here are few shots I was able to keep. Lighting there is not the best for photography...too much reflections.

as i look through your pics, i see some of the fish that i was on the fence about picking up on thursday...when i move and get my 240 that little tyrannochromis is comin home w/me!!!

Yeah, little. Like about 12 inches little when he grows up.

I was very tempted to buy some of those Protomelas Spilonotus "Sulphur Heads". But a reality check reminded me that they also grow to 12". A five foot tank isn't big enough imo.

Great photos, Bobby (especially that last one . . . hooo, baby).
There were some tremendous-looking fish, especially those big haps. I'll note, too, that I saw a few species I've never seen in a store before and wild-caught that were much less expensive than I would have predicted.

Cheers,
Steve

here is another shot I was able to make presentable, thanks to photoshop.

I think this is a lemon jake...Aulononcara Jacobfreibergie "Mamela". Let me know if I'm wrong.
