Finished my first 3d backround in this little 26g bowfront I had. Came out prety good for a first try. The Drylok paint worked great over the blue foam. It is darker than it shows in the pic.

This will be the future home to probably a trio of A. Borelli Opal.

I just couldnt quite pull the trigger and try live plants yrt.

I found some nice ones on Ebay and hopefully they will be comfortable.

I could not get grey sand easily so I mixed black with white PFS.

Tank is cycling as we speak. I plan to ad some Tetras and Cories.

Thanks for comments. It was not as hard to make as you would think. Just takes a little time and it is messy. It is a small tank though.

I let the paint (water based latex) for about a week. The paint is very thick and it may not have dried thoroughly as the water turned a little cloudy. I did four 100% water changes over the next few days and will do more while it is cycling.

I used the same products and procedures that most people use. The Tetras will be first in to make sure water quality is good.

I will keep y'all posted

I like the background I'm thinking of trying something like that in one of my african tanks

I'm shocked that the Drylok isn't toxic to the fish. I sold lots of it when I worked at Home Depot. I had heard people doing strange projects but I'd never heard of that one.

The tank looks really good.
