I bought this pair at the last PVAS auction. I looked in the tank the other day and spotted the usual swarm of fry around the parents.

Meanwhile, the Metriachima herteropictus female has been holding eggs for almost two weeks. She ought to be ready to release them soon.

Hey cool, is the heteropictus the one you got at the workshop in January? I brought her and the male back from an njas event in nj then decided to concentrate on tanganyika rather than malawi,
I'm glad they spawned. neat fish.

Yes, the Heteropictus are the ones I picked up at the CCA event. I've got two Tanganyikans -- the N. Caudopunctatus and another Neolamprologus that may be Boulengari or something else. I'm trying to get an ID.

If I can get a decent photo of the male tonight I might bring it with to All Oddball Aquatics and see what the group thinks.
