Need help with another plant ID

Ok, here's another mystery plant. It's twined in with a bunch of algae, but it reminds me of an aquatic bladderwort.

Anyone seen this before (Arlene???)

Could be utricularia gibba, but judging from the size of the leaf next to it, maybe not, because it looks too big to be u . gibba.

It's a utricularia of some sort. So you're right about it being a bladderwort. Just, which one?

It's definitely a Utricularia, I'm thinking U. bremii. But ask Josh, he's the expert on Utricularia.

I'll try to get a better pic. Is there anything specific that I should be looking for to help determine which one?

If there are any flowers (which can be tiny), that can help a knowledgeable person confirm the ID.

Thing about utricularia is, if you don't want it in your tank, be especially ruthless in pulling it. Otherwise, it will insinuate itself among your other plants and will become a real pain to eradicate.

I've used Utricularia graminifolia as a foreground plant in a nano tank, with great results. Forms a grassy carpet. U. gibba, on the other hand, is a nuisance.

Hm. good to know. Chris, I havent' seen any flowers....but then, I suspect they are easy to miss.
