my pair are about three inches each and in a community 75 with (3) 10-12"amphilophus lyonsii, two pair of cutteri with no problems, my set up has plenty of rock and wood

I think they need plant cover. I had them in a 55 by themselves with driftwood, a fake stump and rock caves and got nothing. I put them in the 90 with driftwood and rock caves and fake plants and I get swimmers in two or three weeks.

If they're like the oblongums the female will hang the adhesive wigglers on whatever plants (live or plastic) are near the spawning site. They spend a couple days like that, and if there's plenty of plants available she'll move them around several times before they're free-swimming. The fry tend to start disappearing a couple days after they're free-swimming, at least until the parents sort out their priorities.

They all disappeared. Here is a video of the tank. The lines on the left are from my vertical blinds.
