This is my 125 African tank. 150 lbs of slate. Malaysian drift wood. 200 gallon rated wet dry, fx5, fluval 303, emperor 400. 2 1300gph wave makers. Favorite non cichlid fish in the tank is the gold nugget pleco.

Thx the drift wood has been a pain with the ph... Just added 10 lbs of crushed Florida coral to the wet dry to the wet dry last night to try and help

The coral should do the trick. Even if it only takes it up to 7.8-8 that's plenty. You could also add just a few tbls of plain ole baking soda and epsom salt. Those are the best things to have on hand with an african tank. Looks good man, good job!

Not really sure I got it in a package deal off of Craigslist with cichlids... It would have gone on my 90 community tank but it had spent its whole like in 8 ph cichlid tank and I didn't want to shock it... I will get a pic when I go home and try to get an ID on it

If you get a pic that shows his body and fin shape I can ID it for you. Not enough visible in that pic for me to know, maybe someone else can.

Can't see the top fin to good but possible its a synodontis decorus, ocellifer or, slim chance ornatus. Lots of the synodontis are very similar and they also cross breed. Without a very clear pics of the fins and shape its near impossible. Check those out and compare see what you think.
