My favorite cat...

This isn't a very good shot but plecos are just plain difficult since they hide.

This is a L174 (spotted zebra) that I picked up a long time ago at frybabies....

My favorite out of all my plecos. I don't really have them in a good set-up to breed at the moment. But, I do have a pair... so some day :)

They are on the "no export" list... so not that many will show up any more :(

Why are they on the no export list?

Is it really that blue hue? I love blue fish... sigh... getting partial to yellow ones, too lol

Really neat, Sarah. Do you give him spirulina wafers, or is the tank algae enough?

Here's my favorite catfish. He's from the feeder tank at Scales:

Brazil has cracked down on all undescribed species being shipped out of their country.

It's not blue... it's white and black.

I feed them black worms, pellets, decap brine...

Anything really.... they are carnivores.

Random but does HOT get black worms in on mondays?

I really like that one Sarah. Are they supposed to be as difficult as the zebras? I assume they take as long to mature.

yeah.... same deal as the zebs.

Yes... very slow at growing and maturing. Although, I think mine are old enough now. Just need to find an open 20 lol.

Ok, I'm silly excited...

Doing water changes and checking in on my pleco's today...

I saw that these L174's were hanging out really close to each other in two caves. So, I got curious and took them out with the caves and water. Grabbed my flash light... and low and behold... I have wigglers!!

I am so happy! These guys are silly hard to breed ( found out, they are harder than zebras at the catfish convention !!! ) Only a few people in the world have bred them from what I heard at the convention. And since I am no pleco expert and just play around with them my hopes had been squashed when I heard how hard they are to breed.

I am super lucky and a super happy girl today in my fishy world!!!

And it makes me feel really good as these are ones of those fish that will most likely be extinct in a few years due to the dam they are building in Brazil... so I am helping the hobby too :)

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
