Not sure why the topic was closed but - the wild type are almost as pretty and they are generally more robust. Just my two. The real German Blue is just too sensetive.
The biggest problem with Rams, if you can get them to spawn for you, is that the babies need such incredibly small food. I have spawned and raised many Apistos. Parents are the same size as Rams and fry eat BB right from the start. BB are too big for Ram babies. You might try vinegar eels or micro worms. I used cyclopeeze from Jehmco. It worked fairly well.
As has already been said, Rams are not an easy fish and require at least as much fuss as Discus, maybe more.
