Thanks for the info. Anyone else who has kept these please chime in! I need to know about compatibility with others. Would they be too aggressive for electric yellows ( L.Caeruleus) or rusty cichlids (I.Sperengerae)?Ad Konings introduced this fish in a issue of Cichlid News.
At that time he named fish Pseudotropheus sp. "zebra long pelvic hara" found at Gallileo reef.
All zebras are members of Metriaclima thus one can use either Pseudotropheus or Metriaclima sp. "xxxx"
Hara reef later became known as Gallireya reef. Note the orginal article misspelled Gallireya.
Old World imported and sold fish under trade name of Gallireya red top. Currently, the fish is sometimes called Metriaclima sp. "long pelvic", Gallireya reef. Others use Metriaclima sp. "red top", Gallireya reef.
