Wow Marge, you seem to really be branching out lately! How many tanks do you have now?

DC[/b]

Thanks Donna, Trying to branch out. Best to rearrange the tanks I have first. :11doh: That's why all the questions about tankmates. Consolidating and rearranging what I already have...to make room for new additions.

It's the old  'the more you know the more you are aware of how much you don't know' that is so addictive with cichlids!

I still have 2 unidentified fish :048:  that are just sitting around with my cichlids. (I really have to get a camera!)

Thanks Bob! The U Tube was interesting. Received this response from another forum. It gives alot of scientific naming changes. No wonder I'm having trouble finding info on these fish!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE("Passionfish")</div>
Ad Konings introduced this fish in a issue of Cichlid News.
At that time he named fish Pseudotropheus sp. "zebra long pelvic hara" found at Gallileo reef.

All zebras are members of Metriaclima thus one can use either Pseudotropheus or Metriaclima sp. "xxxx"
Hara reef later became known as Gallireya reef. Note the orginal article misspelled Gallireya.

Old World imported and sold fish under trade name of Gallireya red top. Currently, the fish is sometimes called Metriaclima sp. "long pelvic", Gallireya reef. Others use Metriaclima sp. "red top", Gallireya reef.

Cichlid Room Companion has some nice images.[/b]
Thanks for the info. Anyone else who has kept these please chime in! I need to know about compatibility with others. Would they be too aggressive for electric yellows ( L.Caeruleus) or rusty cichlids (I.Sperengerae)?
Later,
Marge
