Ok I think i have my stock list narrowed down to commpatibility and no risk of hybrids.

if anyone has any experience with the mixtures whether succesful or not, I would like to know so i dont start off with failure.

I have no clue if any of these fish are availible to me in this area, is this a fisable list or am i shoothing the moon here?

the sciaenochromis can be blue or white although i really wanted some white, thats one of the reasons i chose the sciaenochromis.

From left to right, Williamsi, cynotilapia afra jalo reef, protmelas taeniolatus, sciaenochromis fryeri white knight, labeotropheus trewavasae mpanga red.

I have kept in a 125g Ps Williamsi, Cynotilapia Nhkata Bay Yellow Blaze and Labeotropheus Fuellerborni Marmalade Cat.
All three lived together with no problems.
I do not see a problem adding the other two but have to ask, what size tank are you talking about?
If this is going to be a 6' 125g and up then I would say go for it.

I know of someone who has ALL of those fish mentioned and I have bought from him many, many, many times.

I am stocking a 100g 5'x18"x24" with wet/dry sump and a marineland magnum 350 canister. with 2) 25% water changes twice a week. that should handle any water quality issues.

I was thinking 1m/2f ratio that would only be 15 fish in the tank. is that still to much? i want to start off right.

Trio's with Mbuna do not do well for the long run.
You want to start off with ALL juveniles. This way they all grow up together.
A 5' tank?

Take out one of the fish.
You want schools/breeding-groups.
Other than the Cyno's you are not talking fish under 5".

I would probably take out the lab, with group out the way, what male / female ratio would you use?

If you buy juveniles, which I think you should, you would be buying them unsexed...maybe around 1-2" each.
Buy them in groups of 6 and let them live in groups.
Maybe down the line you will have to thin out the Protomelas and Sciaenochromis fryeri so that you have 2m/2f of each.

Pm sent about purchasing.

I like NLS (New Life Spectrum) 1mm Cichlid Pellets.
I also like YourFishStuff.com for flakes.
YFS also sells Dainichi pellets which a lot of people have started to swear by.
You probably could buy all of your food from YourFishStuff.com .

Have you seen the Labeotropheus trewavasae mpanga red, and do they actually have similar color to the pic above? IME quite often the pic you fall in love with isn't quite the same as the fish you have after they grow out in your tank. Some of that is due to the difference in color/s between a camera image, particularly w/flash, and even different tank lighting.
Paracyp's look gorgeous in pics, even the crappy ones I've taken, but never look the same in the tank.
The williamsi are one exception to that though, they look just as good in person as they do in pics.
