Lowering Ph

OK, I really want to keep some pike cichlids, but the pH of my well water is just over 8.0

How can I get it down to 7.0 easily and without constant maintenance?

Any ideas?

You could invest in a RO unit or collect rainwater. If your well water isn't too gosh darn hard, you could filter your water barrel with peat.

I do have an RO unit that I am going to set back up. Then I will get some new test results and see where I stand. Still may also collect rain water like you showed me. REALLY want some pikes!!

Well, I decided not to mess with my water. I did get some pikes and the adapted to my water very well.

This is what the C. "Xingu I" looked like when I got them as juvies.
