I prefer the alternative: 6 cinder blocks, 2 2 x4's and (for those concerned with aesthetics) a piece of cloth to make it look nice

Small wonder so many guys get their acts banished to the basement. Never heard the expression "man-cave" until I visited this site, starting to make sense.

I don't think that the style of stand really makes that much difference in the call to banish to the basement when 20 or 30 or more tanks are involved.
