Man, lost power about 30 minutes ago. Hope I get power soon. I have plans to go into the city for the night. This is not good. :-(

This is the reason why we have a generator. Our lines are above ground and we never know when our power is going to be knocked out.

Really thought about investing in one. good to have battery pumps as backup.

Go buy the generator. I bought one after a power outage 6 years ago and we haven't lost power for more than a few minutes since then.

The purchase of the generator has magically prevented a power outage from the power company. I think I have fired up the generator 2-3 times other than just to run it to keep the fuel from gumming up in it.

We learned the hard way when my first son was born and I couldn't warm up his formula. Not fun placing a cold bottle under my shirt in the dead of winter to get it to body temperature.
Several years later, great for run power to the TV, Wii, fish tanks, and heating/cooling systems.
