Looking to sell my Africans

I have a tank full of Africans, both Habs and Mbuna, that I want to sell. I am doing this to do heavy maintenance on my tank (its acrylic, and scratched pretty badly) and I will then rebuild it into a planted tank. There are no diseases and no deaths since last July's power outtage. Some are reproducing (imagine that).

Here are a couple of pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/68956031@N08/sets/72157632230317519/

I will get more pics asap. If you are interested let me know and I'll update with better pictures.

I am located south of Frederick, MD - technically in Adamstown, not far from Point of Rocks (about 12 miles north of Leesburg).

Nice looking tank. Is that a male Placidochromis johnstoni? If so, I may be interested.

Are you planning on attending Aquamania?

I actually just found out about the meeting when I found this site. If I can find some people who will pick up fish at the meeting, I will probably go.

Since I'm in the process of emptying the tank though, I fear the pressure of looking at all the pretties. :p

Wade:

You should come to AquaMania. It will be a good time. If you decide not to, I live off Route 80 close to the 270 exit and can bring fish to Tony.

Thanks Jon. I'll let everyone know. I plan to take pics of the tank today or tomorrow and post them so everyone can see what is inside. I won't be able to name them all as I never knew many of the names, but others might.

When I counted last night, I have approx 24 adult cichlids (plus a dozen ~1" or smaller spawnlings) and 2 Synodontis cats.

Wade, it looks like you have a Eureka Red Jake Peacock I would like to buy from you. Please let me know what you feel is a fair price. I will send you a PM to arrange a pick up. When I clicked on your photo link it's the first pictured fish i would like to buy. I won't be breeding the fish since your not positive on the ID of it. I'm looking for some fully colored haps and peacocks for my show tanks. He is prefect for that!

This was one of my all time favorites, but I never knew what it was to order another one after my tank loss.

I'm thinking it could be Maylandia pyrsonotos, but I could be incorrect.

Thank You,

STATMATT

Email your pic to Dave, he might be able to help. I'm no expert on mbuna, and there are a lot of blue mbuna with verical stripes.

All,
Sorry for the delay in responding, esp to those who PM'd me. Someone bought the entire group from me as a batch which is wonderful as I've already drained the tank and am planning on the cleanup stage asap.

Thank you for your interest. I hope you are all enjoying the meeting!
