Looking For Tanganyikan Cichlids in DC Area

The recent storm through the mid-atlantic left me with no electricity all weekend, and unfortunately, I lost some of my fish to oxygen deprivation.

I had some tanganyikans from a great store in Richmond,VA when I lived down there, and I'd like to replace some lost but don't know of any local vendors that carry any tanganyikans. I live in Bethesda, MD now.

Can anyone help here? Specifically, I'm hoping to find some Julidichromis Marlieri, Altolamprologus Calvus, and Paracyprichromis Nigripinnis.

J marlieri shows up in the auction sometimes, and you're probably less than 30 minutes from our meeting location. When the meetings resume in Spetember you should try to make a meeting. Altolamprologous and paracyprichromis are less likely to show up at auctions, but some members do breed them. There are some quality club sponsors that seel these fish too. www.davesfish.com is a great source. He is based out of Texas, but ships fish to us regularly and his packaging is excellent.

Have you been to Tropical Lagoon in Silver Spring or House of Tropicals in Glen Burnie? They are good sources for local fish stores.

I was House of Tropicals last night, they had several altolamprologus compressiceps in stock! I didn't see any J. Marleri but different types of julidochromis species. I don't think I saw any paracyps though.

House calls?

I have at least 3 and perhaps 4 Paracyps I'm willing to part with - just require more attention to spawn than I have bandwidth. Am in near NW DC if you're interested.
