Looking for juvenile community tank safe cichlids and aquatic plants for driftwood

Hello, I'm new to DMV (have new post on Intro thread). Looking to finish a new 75g community tank with some centerpiece juvenile cichlids (thinking single angel, group of rams, maybe kribs, or anything cool that might be floating around the area). Also, looking for aquatic plants not called java moss that will anchor into driftwood (all other mosses are fantastic too). Best regards, Tim in Aldie, VA (773) 220-3813

Welcome to the area Tim. You should be able to find some good stuff with the community here. There were some kribs, apistos, angels, and a few other fish that would be great additions to your 75 at the meeting this past weekend. If you don’t have your tank filled out (or even if you do) I highly recommend coming to the February meeting. Besides the members, I also recommend checking out some of the sponsor vendor threads. Tangled Up in Cichlids has a great variety. Blue Ribbon Koi is also fairly local to you down in Catharpin.

Hope to see you around!

Probably a user error: I couldn't find the details on the upcoming February 2025 meeting. Best regards, Tim

Welcome, Tim. I live near H halak and have a wide variety of fish available. I do have one "lonely heart" angel (a Rio Nanay scalare, often called "Peruvian Altum"), but also have two species of Dicrossus, a few varieties of schooling fish, plecos, several types of moss, anubias, bucephalandra, and other plants. If you look at older posts, you'll get an idea.

I always urge folks to support local businesses first and foremost so that they stay in business.

Awesome! How do you operate, Becca? Do folks come over to browse & purchase, or is it menu list order and ship livestock in mail? Kind regards, Tim (773) 220-3813

People usually come and take a look around. If I know what you want I can bag it in advance but I don't ship and, due to youth sports, can't typically make meetings. I'm in Northwestern Montgomery County, so not terribly far from Virginia.

That's awesome, Becca. If you have any availability during late afternoon or early evening on Saturday, 01/18, please let me know. Kind regards, Tim 773-220-3813

Hey, can't PM so I had to find a post of yours. Another member mentioned that you might have L183s? For sale to a loving home that hopes to breed them?
