Looking For Great Rock Deals for Malawi setup

Im looking to buy rocks for my new Lake Malawi setup, preferably lace rock. Anyone know any shops in the area that sell it for a really great price? Or is anyone selling any? Thanks!

Irwin Stone is a good place to get it. I think they have shops in Frederick and Rockville. They sell most stone by the ton, so a few pieces is only a couple bucks.

Has anyone gotten stone from Luck Stone in Virginia?

I was thinking of using Rip Rap for my hap tank. I imagine I would want one of the 2 smallest grade. I can't imagine a 500 lb rock would be a good idea in an aquarium.

the Rip Rap grows naturally in your own backyard. I pulled up the truck and collected my own off of Old Ox Road. If you are gong South bound on the toll road from Leesburg and take the exit for Old Ox Road, there is a rock outcropping on both sides of the road. I pulled the truck off and spent two hours there searching for the perfect pieces. There are many flat peices there and I used those to support the larger pieces above the sandbed in my tank. so when I need to clean the sand I just use a powerhead to blow under the rocks. This stuff is perfect and looks great.

The stone store has pretty good deals on all kinds of rock. I got my lava rock from them, convinced them to cut a chunk off a 1000lb boulder.

They are in Hanover, MD near BWI.
