We saw someone was getting rid of a split 3 gal betta system and thought it’d be a good quarantine tank… Turns out it came with a pleco in one side and a “SAE” on the other…
“We had a betta in there too, I told my husband to grab some algae eating fish because the tank was dirty. He came home with these. The SAE killed the betta.”
It’s definitely a Chinese Algae Eater, given the mouth shape, aggression, etc.
Anyone have room for a nippy, aggressive algae eater that can get up to a foot long? I sure don’t…
