Breeding them wouldn't be a problem, only take 3 months or so... it raising them up to 2 inches.

I'll pass LOL Don't want 700 plecos roaming my tanks LOL. I put auctions up... no reserve to get rid of them as fast as I can LOL.

Might want to try www.frybabies... she does do wholesale and you'd save a bunch on shipping. ( sponsor of the club :) ) She could bring them down to the January meeting since she's speaking. frybabies@hotmail.com is her personal e-mail.

700 :confused0068: Holy crapola. :spanka:

Yeah, it may take me a while. Only have 50 so far and the problem is getting them up to size. Mine are fry at like 1/4 inch. I have no idea how long it would take. First experiance with them.

Getting them to 1 inch... or 1.25 is fast. After that mark, it takes quite a while. Hence why I sell them at an inch at cheapo prices. For fast results.. I'd want to set up a 300 gallon tub :winking0011:

How big are the tanks? 1 might be enough depending on the size. BN's do a really good job... those huge guys are just lazy and do nothing but eat your food.

I want 6-700 to be sure I get a pair lol

NO BAD WORDS ABOUT MY PLECO"S :smashfreakB:  love those guys they do a good job for me, but problem is you can't breed them, although I can't.

My problem is I don't introduce other fish in my systems with my Discus, but now with the new part I've the change to do something and when I do it I want to do it good lol and never have the need to do it again lol

2 in a tank and breed the %$^%&&%$ out of them :angel2:

Well if you want to breed them... get all types of BN's... there are quite a few out there. Since you are dealing with a lower ph you could breed the hell out of some of the more desirable ones. There are ones with blue eyes, calicos, long fins, albino, short fins... etc. I dunno just ideas for you. Some of the wild BN types are really cool looking too. Fairly easy to breed when it comes to plecos as well. I think the ones that are black with white dots are VERY cool looking... a tad harder to breed but they go for pretty good prices as well ( I think they are L059??? not positive on the number). Calicos sell for around 15-20 bucks each (retail--online prices)... if you wanted to stick with domestics.

You probably know all of this... but maybe I'm helping LOL.

At the moment I want them just to save me a lot of work, if I can keep on breeding a few I got them for the future too lol.
Now IF I start breeding them, they gona give me MORE work and THAT's not were I'm looking for lol

If your goal really isn't to breed them ... good luck !! They are rabbits ... mine breed with no work at all, just a water change. They will most likely make more work for you. Maybe get wilds.. harder to breed ! LOL... you won't end up with 150 fry in each tank.
