First time I've seen one of these in the creek.

I've found other fossils there but first time I found a shark tooth.

I explored my property all weekend and found nothing.

Unless Iris in the ponds are sprouting counts?

Soon it will be all of them spring frogs singing!
Still have goldfish swimming around too.

Big enough to have housed a shark at some point?

Great pictures from everyone though, cool to see the wildlife.
I believe a lot of Maryland was under ocean waters during the Miocene epoch.
It's just that this little creek, over the years and many storms, has cut it's way down to that level in the earth's crust.

Was hoping to find a whole skull from something after all that rain we had but no luck on that. Just a broken shark tooth and a bone.
