Lima shovelnose catfish with african cichlids

Has any one ever kept a lima shovelnose catfish with african cichlids? Would it work?
He would be in my 75 gallon with my lake lake malawi african cichlids..they are 5 to 6 inch and the lima im looking at is about 12 inch...would he eat my africans?... thanks rob

Lima shovelnose cats get gigantic, so a 4' 75g tank isn't really work for the catfish.

They're also predatory, so the cat will eat the cichlids.

They have long whiskers, which the African cichlids will bite off before they're eaten.

I'd say..no.
