????? Are my light to bright for my cichlid tank, no plants just fish. Thet are t-5 12000k 2 bulbs and blue antics.54watts. I had them hooked up before and i had lots of alage. Please help

Im running T5's on my 125G plus 2 36 inch flourescent strips. sometimes I only run the T5 or flourescents by themselves. The fish dont seem to mind.

What size bulbs are in your t-5 setup

What size is your tank? I would say it is a lot of lighting for a fish only tank. If you have a 125 like Jose, then two 48 inch 50watts would do the trick.

75 gallon tank the bulbs are 54 watts each. Now one bulb just burned out so now just one bulb is working. 48inch
