Koi, Goldfish, and Pond Health Management Veterinary Continuing Education
North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine – NCSU, CVM is offering a one day CE course on February 23, 2013 to familiarize participants with the fundamental principles of koi and goldfish management and medicine.
This course is open to veterinarians and non veterinarians (hobbyists, aquaculturists, dealers, and professional aquarists). Attendees will learn about: water quality, recirculating aquatic systems (with an emphasis on ponds), diagnostic techniques, environmental diseases, infectious diseases (viral, bacterial, fungal, parasitic), therapeutics, anesthesia, analgesia, and surgery.
Registration $35 – includes lectures, lunch and electronic notes. This course offers six (6) hours of CVME for veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

• Koi Herpes Virus (KHV) and the Cavoy® vaccine
