Joining the Dark Side Help

I have finally found a job so I am going to be joining the dark side now. First question is which tank I should use. I have an empty 110 and an empty 150. The 150 is 4' though and the 110 is 6'. Would it be better to use the 6 footer?

The extra length in the 110 will provide more territories. What is the depth of both tanks? Length and depth are preferred over height.

Congrats on the new job.
What kind of fish are you getting?

Andrew, the 150 is 4'x2' and the 110 is 6'x18".

Shawn, thank you and I was thinking Victorians at first, but I'm going to do those in my 75. So I really don't know, lol. Haven't decided if I want an all-male tank or try to breed something. Leaning more towards all-male b/c it's going to be in the living room so I want it to be colorful.

Hawkman, whichever tank doesn't get used for the Africans is going to Americans. Those are what I started with and I still love them. I have a few other empty tanks still also. Probably going to get some Vieja, Paratheraps, or some Amphilophus other than cintrinellus and labiatus, but I haven't decided yet.

According to the list on Cichlidsarespecial, I could mix Xystichromis sp. Flameback with certain Aulonocara and Placidochromis though. Would that be feasible in the 110?

I would defiantly use the 6 footer for Americans so they can claim their territories. In my experience, Africans either don't mind, or actually like swimming up and down. Americans like the length. Especially with Americans over 6 inches. Africans don't seem to be as territorial as Americans unless the spawn. Even then they aren't as aggressive.
