Jack Dempsey tank mate question.

Would a black banded Leporinus be an ok tank mate for an adult Jack Dempsey? Right now they are both juveniles and seem to largely ignore each other. There is an adult Firemouth in there with them who rules the tank. Though once grow I don't think the playing field should level out, which is why I'm mostly concerned with the Jack and Leporinus. Thanks in advance for any input.

I would be concerned for both the leporinus and the firemouth. That tank might be to small for the leporinus as it is. The JDs will probobly snap at him quite ofter when they get older.

As far as the firemouth goes; he will be an excelent chew-toy for the JDs when they get to be adults (especially if one one or both are male).

Individual personality also comes into play. Also the fact that they are growing up together can make them more hospitable to eachother.
