Should I stock it with feeders or just a few cool fish? It'll be outside and I live in Texas so it'll have to be a pretty hardy fish.

I'd put in one big fish like maybe an achara catfish or a jardini or make it a gold fish pond

Can a jardini live in TX heat without a chiller?

If you want something interesting, get a bunch of different types of QUALITY guppies, mixes of all colors and especially patterns, and thro them in. Make sure all are TOP QUALITY. (Good form, large fins, active)

How hot will it get? A jardini wont do too well in temperatures over 86 degrees. Maybe you could keep him in doors in the summer months.

It gets 95-115 from June-end of September. I wouldn't have a tank to put it in. I'm wanting something we can enjoy outside in our backyard during spring-fall. Our winters only get below 40 usually just in January.

Thats going to be a little too hot for a jardini

That's what I figured. That's why I asked. Right now I just have a Red Ear Slider in it until my Mom sets up the home for it at her house. I'm going to start landscaping it soon. So I have a little time to decide what I want to do with it. My Dad gave it to me because it had a crack from when they used it as a horse water trough.
