Hi All,
After patiently waiting, my wife bought my 55 gallon and stand for my birthday. Yes!!!! I still have some equipment that I am putting together to complete everything, but for now, the major purchase is taken care of.
I have some questions that I would like some answers/advice on.
Would my previous 37 gallon tank (30x12x22) make a good qt tank or should I just have 20 gallon long tank?
I want to use a black sand/substrate in the new tank. What should I do with the old play sand from the previous tank?
Can a light fixture (Coralife T5 fixture for example) that comes with the legs to stand above the tank also be used with a canopy?
I am really excited about this tank and being able to attend at least a couple of meetings this year. I needed to get this tank when I did. Time will be scarce as my wife and I are expecting our first child later this month, so I know I will be crazy busy.
Thanks in advance for any input.
