I saw the option of creating a group, how are they supposed to work with this software?

Otherwise, if I understood your question, creating a group would be for members to share information on a specific species of choice separate from the actual main forum.
For example, there's the South American Group, African Cichlid Group, Lake Tang Group, photography as well.
