Hello everyone. My name is Chris Teem and I moved to the area about a year ago from Raleigh, NC. I was a member of the aquarium society there and learned a lot through them. I've been in the fish hobby for about 10 years now. I have successfully bred 15 different species and buy successfully I mean my offspring bred for me. I gained a lot of my knowledge on freshwater fish from my mentor, Dr. Robert J. Goldstein. For those of you who don't know him he is a published author on several books and specialize in bettas, killifish, and US native fish. I also have a strong background in Saltwater too as my old boss was the curator of the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California. He taught me a lot on medication of fish and also how to breed jellyfish lol.
Since moving to this area I've decided to chase my dream of owning my own pet store. I have started down that path by starting my aquarium maintenance business called Rainforest Experience. We are a relatively new company since we have only been around for 6 months but just started offering to do fish aquariums three weeks ago.
I am deeply looking forward to getting to know everyone over these next several months and meeting everyone a local meeting. I have heard a great deal of knowledge is in this society and greatly looking forward to learning from y'all.
