Specifically blueberry hermit crabs, Coenobita purpureus
quite similar in care and size to the very common purple pinchers, Coenobita clypeatus, just a whole lot nicer to eachother, and the slightest bit smaller. Also they're a nice blue rather than the purple and orange of purple pinchers. I've got an empty 30 (36x12x16, LxWxH) that I'd like to try something other than fish in, and I'd like to try my hand at a bioactive biotope, for hermit crabs. Since they are one of the nicer species, I thought I'd be able to get away with a decent amount of them, but how many exactly?
