Does appear to be a Yellow Tail Acei. They get larger than most Mbuna and instead of staying low in the rock work they like to come up higher and swim in the open waters. They are a lot more laid back as well.

That's a Synodontis eupterus, I believe -- hard to tell for sure with the acei in the way.

They get BIG, but they're quite peaceful until they get fully grown (then about 60% of them figure out that fish are food, not friends...). They do quite well with mbuna, though.

Most Synodontis will do well with Mbuna. They get large enough to fend off any would be attackers and enjoy the same/similar water parameters. Enjoy!
