Guard Puppy

My almost 9 month old puppy feels that it is her duty to guard my bearded dragon during her bi-weekly bath time.

So while Penny, the dragon soaks in her warm bath Arda faithfully sits at her post inside the tub staring at Penny. And yes, Arda jumped into the tub on her own.

Ohmigod that is a cute puppy!!

BTW, your keyhole recovered after some treatment and I returned him to the 58 with the other keyhole and he immediately went into hiding again. So he is now with Matt Chambers and reportedly very happy!!

Can we see a pic of your bearded Dragon, please? I've always wanted one of those! BTW, your puppy is so adorable! What kind? We have an 11-month old German Shorthaired Pointer pup.

Arda is half Dachshund and half Yorkshire Terrier.

Beardies are usually quite docile and rarely bite. They are one of the best lizards to handle. I walk around the house with Penny just chilling on my shoulder. I rescued/rehabbed a male dragon a few years ago that was rough-handled to the point of abuse and he never even tried to bite me and I had to force feed the poor guy. They are normally pretty hand-tame and that's the easiest aspect of their care. They are very demanding husbandry-wise.

Here she is!

And this is her 4'x2'x2' enclosure I built for her.
