Good deal?

Have it filled with water before you take it. "he was told it holds water" that means he has no clue if it does or not. If it holds water its a steal.

Even if it doesn't come with lights that's a good find (assuming it holds water).

For lights you can easily build your own fixture using shop lighting from the Home Depot or Lowes and a little bit of DIY. I bought the 48" flourescent strip lighting for my 55 and built a canopy for it for about $40. You could do something similar if your concerned about lighting

That is an awesome deal(assuming it holds water). I would probably use 3 LED flood lights. Try to get the bright white rather than the warm white.

If it holds water dont mess with it. To properly reseal you have to take all of the silicone off and clean it very good. Once you start taking the silicone off you will be asking yourself "why did I get into this" If it holds water let er rip! By the way congrats.

Visually inspect it (any tears or peeling in the silicone? broken bracing, etc?) and do a test fill in the garage or somewhere where a possible water spill wouldn't be a big issue.

Chances are it's good to go if there aren't obvious issues.

And - of course - put some styro under the tank when you set it up.

Are you going to build a stand or buy one?

Having a 6' tank CHANGES THE GAME in terms of what fish you can successfully keep!

Well if rather take the time and reseal it right than have 125 gallons of water on the floor

Yeah the tank is in the car right now... The silicon is ripped in some places... I'm going to buy a stand, but don't know where to look.

Is it going somewhere nice (living room) or a fishroom?

If the latter, just build one out of concrete blocks...
