My wild pair of Geo. megasema spawned tonight for the first time.
I had them for the last couple of years in a 150g with a large Paretroplus dambabe (red Madagascar guy) and some other SA cichlids.
They just didn't have the peace that they needed to spawn.
Anyway, I transferred them to my 180g SA community. The change was what they needed (and they're the top fish in the tank).
Caught them spawning on a piece of driftwood.
I took a bunch of (really bad) pics and even a movie...so I'll post when I get a chance to download them.
They'll likely guard the eggs for a day or two...then the female will incubate.
