Alternately you might schedule a trip to the environs of Corydoras super arcuatus or some of those honking big shovel-nosed semiaquilis types and I'll share logistics/burdens per usual forays into only slightly trammeled if not altogether pristine wilderness in pursuit of obscure and deeply satisfying natural glories. Do let me know if that's a possibility - was headed in that direction when I left AK, only in DC because, well, that's a long (and sordid) story.

Not too bad. A bit "earthy" on its own as you would expect. Best served in a fish soup (Sancocho de Corroncho) which Venezuelans swear will do everything from cure a cold to a hangover.
