Free -- Five juvenie rainbow cichlids

They range in size but are all over 1". Not sexable, but the large ones are probably boys and the smaller are girls. Pick up only in Gaithersburg

Let's see - I have about 30 (maybe 35) hard to count of yours in a tank - they are all in the 1 to 1.5" range (gee I'll bet they are related :)) if no one else wants them I'll take them and add to the ones I already have from you.

yes, these are the leftovers who refused to get caught when you got most of their siblings. Let's see if someone else is interested, if not, they're yours.

Great fish and a wonder intro to New World cichlids. If you don't have BAP points for spawning these guys (99% of the club), then give them a try...

I've also got an extra about the same size, one which hid when his/her siblings were netted out for the October meeting. If anyone's interested, let me know.

I meant if you are interested after Holly's fish are gone. If, for example, five just aren't enough.

I think you'd want a 55 if you're going to have more than two. Once they start breeding, they stake out a pretty big area.

Yup

What's funny is that no one had these fish a couple of years ago...

And then Holly started distributing them around the club, so all credit and/or blame is hers!

Actually, they're great fish, so I'll go with credit on that.

Holly - if someone wants some of the 35 or so that I have (if 5 is not enough and Matt does not have enough to make a school for someone - I am willing to donate some of the ones you gave me as well - else I will take what you have and give them away later. Maybe I could sell some of them on Aquabid since everybody in CCA and probably PVAS already had tanks full of them:)

unless of course you keep them in a 20H like the 20H I have with about 30 convicts in it - no aggression since there are so many of them - and after awhile they stop producing - or if they produce they are just producing food for the others :) Right now the 35 I have from Holly are in a 10 gal growing out - they were like dots when I got them from her.

They are a great fish, and I think selling them on Aquabid is a great idea. Yeah, a pair would be fine in a 29. And they're not hard on other fish -- tetras, cories, BNs, etc, so they can have company. It's trying to put in a second pair that it gets tough. I have managed to have two pair in a 58, but only if it's really really well planted in such as way as to divide it into to territories. And after a while, that doesn't end up working well.

I have one that is not taken. I live in DC, not far from downtown Silver Spring. Let me know if you're interested.

By the way, there will be more, I'm sure, because my pair reproduces pretty frequently.
