So I know its only preseason, but I'm already pumped for football. I'm looking forward to being able to going to UMD games as a student again, but I've been a lifelong Redskins fan all my life. I've been to FedEx Field once before, but that was in the nosebleed section since Dan Snyder assumes that all Redskins fans are rich.
Anyways, last friday I get a call from Tony asking if I had bought tickets for the game yet. I said no, he said no problem, meet me at my office at 4. I got clearance from the boss to leave early, and met him later that day. So we get to the stadium, and we don't have just tickets, we have front row parking passes, Touchdown Zone credentials, field passes, catered food and open bar, and a reserved table. I was starstruck before the Redskins "Ambassadors" came around talking to everyone. Here's a few pics of me and the ambassadors:
So after some food, drinks and entertainment, we went to go check out the field.
After going back for a few more drinks, it was time for the game. Here's a shot of the view from our seats. No zoom, we're that close:
So yeah, it was an awesome game, and I nearly lost my voice cheering for the Redskins. We scored 42 points and looked pretty good doing it. I'm hoping this will be a turn around year for us. This week we have the Ravens. And while I usually root for the Ravens, this weekend, I hope we beat you as bad as we beat Buffalo. Thats right haters!
