Flowerhorn eating gravel

My flowerhorn was in a tank with some parrot fish for about 6 months now. Last week I checked on the tank and found her barely clinging on. I was not sure why since there was very little aggression in the tank. I transferred her over to my quarantine tank and couple days later she spits up 2 pieces of gravel. She seems better now but anyone ever had this problem?

I had a similar issue with one of my BR parrots getting a big piece of gravel stuck in his mouth. Eventually he was able to dislodge it and spit it out.
